Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our technical fabrics and custom gear supplies.
What is the typical shipping lead time for fabric orders?
Most in-stock fabric and hardware orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Custom printed fabrics via our OutdoorINK® service typically require 3-5 business days for production before shipping.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship our technical textiles and DIY supplies worldwide. Shipping rates and delivery estimates are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your specific location.
Can I return fabric that has already been cut?
We accept returns on full-yardage goods within 30 days of purchase, provided they are in original condition. However, we cannot accept returns on fabrics that have been cut, washed, or altered by the customer.
How do I choose the right weight of Ripstop for my project?
Fabric weight is measured in ounces per square yard (oz/yd²). Generally, lighter fabrics (0.56 oz - 1.1 oz) are ideal for ultralight gear like hammocks and quilts, while heavier fabrics (210D - 1000D) are better suited for backpacks and heavy-duty reinforcement.
Are your fabrics waterproof or water-resistant?
It depends on the coating. Fabrics labeled as 'DWR' are water-resistant and shed light moisture, while fabrics with 'PU', 'Silnylon', or 'Silpoly' coatings are waterproof and designed for shelters and dry bags.
Do you offer swatches or sample books?
Yes, we highly recommend ordering a sample book or individual swatches to feel the hand-eye and verify colors before committing to a large project. These can be found in our 'Samples' category.
